Spartanburg Methodist College Freshman and Former IESA Player helped lead SMC to their District Semi-Final.

Jakari was SMC's leading goal scorer with 15 goals on the season.  He was top three in their region in goals and top four overall.  He was selected to their All Region 2nd Team and was SMC's November player of the month.    

​Jakari also received a Deans List selection for Academic Performance.​   Congratulations Jakari!

​Grant Dickey named Emerald's new boys soccer coach

Former IESA Player, Grant Dickey used to carry water on the sidelines at Emerald soccer games. Next spring, he’ll coach the team.

Dickey, whose father spent time as a coach for Emerald, has been named Emerald’s boys soccer coach.

“It’s nice. I’m excited for this upcoming year,” Dickey said. “I guess it’s really exciting. My dad used to coach there a while back, so it’s kind of like I’m coming back.”

Dickey arrives to Emerald after coaching Dixie High School’s junior varsity team for three years. He spent one year as Belton-Honea Path’s junior varsity soccer coach.​   Congratulations Grant!

IESA's Hykeem Martin named to North South Boys Soccer Team

IESA Senior Boys Soccer Player, Hykeem Martin, has been selected to participate in the 2018 North South Soccer Classic. 

Hykeem was captain of the High School team, led on and off the field, leading scorer, a feared attacking player with a blistering shot and an uncanny ability to slip by defenders and pick apart defenses with his pinpoint passes.  He was also named Region II 5A All Region, Region II 5A Co-Player of the Year, and All State.
